Investing in greater production capacity.
B. Braun launched a €1.4 billion global investment program for our facilities in 2007. In Melsungen, B. Braun built facilities to produce parenteral nutrition solutions and for manufacturing dialysis machines and infusion pumps. A new central laboratory for research and quality assurance is open. At the end of 2009, B. Braun committed an additional €1.6 billion to build a third L.I.F.E. factory. We’re also heavily investing in locations in Malaysia, Brazil and Argentina. All our investments will be financed by income generated over the next three years.
